This has been a time of tremendous uncertainty, anxiety and fear for all of us. Our world will forever be changed and that's unsettling. As we sit here today, on the cusp of the Apex, I am choosing to look forward. I am looking forward to talking to all of you, I am looking forward to seeing my co-workers again and I am looking forward to traveling. As we look forward, I thought I might outline some changes and policies that are known at this point in our world of travel. These continue to evolve but I am hopeful this snapshot will give you a concise overview of what is to come. This has been a time of tremendous uncertainty, anxiety and fear for all of us. Safety As the world "opens back up" and people begin to travel again for work and play how are we going to stay healthy?
Gate areas, kiosks and bag drops areas will be continuously cleaned and maintained throughout the day.
Aircraft will be disinfected using a hospital grade fogging process after every flight.
Hand sanitizer will be available at all counters, bag drop, gates, clubs and on board.
Major carries have blocked middle seats to ensure social distancing while on board.
Status upgrades will be done day-of to ensure seating remains spread out on the aircraft.
Unused Tickets Many of you had to cancel business trips and/or personal vacations. Please don't fret. If you have a ticket on file with us it has been stored and tracked in our automated system.
Cancelled tickets on the major carriers for travel 3/1/20 - 5/31/20 will now have an expiration date of 2 years.
Change fees have been waived until 12/31/20 if your travel was scheduled between 3/1/20-5/31/20.
Refunds are now being allowed if the airline cancels the flight or if the schedule changes is unacceptable (as defined by airline policy).
New tickets purchased between 3/1/20 - 5/31/20 can be changed without a change fee for 1 year.
Status/Clubs As we all know, when you travel for a living, status is crucial to your experience, productivity and sanity.
While every carrier has a different approach, all are offering ways you can retain your status thru 2022.
Club membership has been extended.
Note: Policies vary carrier by and are ever-changing. Please check with us for individual questions. As always, we are here to answer questions, assist with re-bookings and hopefully "looking forward" with you. Thanks for all of your support and love, Classic Travel & Tours
